French Lover, known as Bois d'Orage in France, was composed by Pierre Bourdon for Frédéric Malle: a cool, structured masculine that stands apart from the warm orientals of its era.

Galbanum, juniper, and pink pepper open with a green, gin-like aromatic lift. Angelica, cedar, incense, and orris form a dry, slightly smoky heart. Vetiver, oakmoss, white musk, and amber close the base, crisp and understated in the way Malle compositions tend to be.

A refined daytime signature. Featured in the Fragrance Box Eau de Parfum rotation.
