Ambre Levant is built on the two raw materials Louis Vuitton treats as its own signatures from the Middle East, amber and oud, set against a contemporary reading of both. Where a lot of amber fragrances resolve sweet, this one holds a mineral line from ambergris and a cool white incense underneath, which keeps the sweetness in check.

Mandarin and white pepper carry the opening, cinnamon brings the heat through the middle, and labdanum settles into oud at the base. It belongs to the house Journey to the Middle East collection, where a single oud threads across the range, and it wears close to the skin rather than filling a room.
