Baccarat Rouge 540 extrait is Francis Kurkdjian's own deepening of the house's signature composition. Where the Eau de Parfum is airy and radiant, the Extrait is denser, warmer, and carries a more balsamic, resinous trail.
Saffron opens the composition, intertwined with jasmine sambac. The heart is amberwood and ambergris — the warm, animalic core that gives BR540 its instantly recognisable signature. The base closes on fir resin and cedar, drawing the composition into a darker, woodier register than the EDP ever reaches.
