Mr Thompson is a later addition to the Penhaligon's Portraits collection, an unrepentant gentleman who favors gin over conversation. The composition is dry, herbal, and unmistakably masculine.
Lavender, elemi, and pink pepper open with an aromatic, slightly bitter lift. Orris, black pepper, and geranium deepen the heart, spiced and a touch powdery. Vanilla, sesame, and oak close the base, softening the drier facets without making the composition sweet.
