OUTCAST BLUE is oud in the most literal sense. Saffron and black pepper open it sharp and textured, which is not where most oud fragrances begin, and a single lily of the valley sits in the middle as the one soft note in the whole composition.
The base does the work. Agarwood carries the weight, tobacco adds a dry sweetness, vetiver and oakmoss pull it toward earth, and sandalwood keeps it smooth underneath. It reads architectural rather than decorative, which suits a house that treats perfume as self definition instead of adornment. The extrait concentration gives it a long, quiet dry down rather than a shout.
