Browsing the Collection

Getting Started 4 min read Updated July 14, 2026

At Fragrance Box the collection is not a section you click into. It is the front door. When you land on the homepage, you are already looking at the live collection, every active fragrance laid out in one place, ready to scan at your own pace. There is no separate catalog to hunt for, and no long path to walk before you see real bottles.

This guide walks you through what you are looking at, how to move through it, and how to open a single fragrance when one catches your eye.

The collection is the homepage

Everything we currently carry lives on the site root. Each fragrance shows as a card with the house, the name, and enough at a glance to tell whether it is worth a closer look. You can browse the whole thing without an account and without committing to anything.

A few things worth knowing as you scroll:

  • The collection rotates. We curate from a changing set of designer and niche scents, so what you see today is what is active today. A fragrance you loved last month may have moved on, and something new may have taken its place.
  • We carry two concentrations only, Eau de Parfum (EDP) and Extrait de Parfum. Extrait is our highest tier, the richest and most tenacious. You will see the tier called out on each fragrance so you always know which register you are in. For the difference between the two, see What We Carry.
  • Some fragrances are marked Exclusive. That is a real distinction tied to rarity, and an Exclusive scent carries an added surcharge on top of the box. The amount varies per fragrance, so it is shown on the live product page rather than quoted here. More on that in What Exclusive Means.

The old /products and /explore addresses both redirect to the homepage, so any bookmark you kept will still land you in the right place.

Moving through it

Scrolling the full collection is the calm way to browse, and we recommend it when you have time and no particular scent in mind. Let the houses and notes catch your eye. This is how most people find something they did not know they wanted.

When you already know what you are after, reach for search instead. The collection search lets you jump straight to a house, a note, or a specific fragrance without scrolling past everything else. If you want vetiver, or a particular Maison, type it and go. We cover that in its own guide, Searching and Filtering the Collection.

If you sign in, the browsing gets a little more personal. You can save a fragrance to your favorites as you go, then return to your shortlist later from your account. Nothing is lost between visits. Setting that up takes a moment, and Creating an Account and Signing In shows you how.

Opening a fragrance

Selecting any card opens that fragrance's own page, where the detail lives. There you will find the house, the concentration tier, the gender lean, the launch year, and the note journey from the top through the heart to the base. This is the place to read a scent properly before you decide, and How to Read a Product Page explains every part of it.

Two honest notes as you shop:

  • Because the collection rotates, a specific scent can become unavailable between the moment you fall for it and the moment your box is built. When that happens we ask you to choose a like for like replacement, and if you do not choose in time we assign a comparable alternative in the same character so your box still ships full. We never promise an exact bottle, only a fair match. See How Substitutions Work.
  • A note list tells you the intended story of a scent, not exactly how it will smell on your skin. Treat it as a map. Your own nose closes the deal.

When a fragrance feels right, you can carry it into the box order flow at /order, where you choose the concentration, the audience, the size, and whether it is a one time box or a monthly subscription. Prices vary and are shown live at that step. For now, take your time on the collection and let something find you. If you ever get stuck, we are a message away at [email protected].
