Creating an Account and Signing In

Getting Started 4 min read Updated July 14, 2026

You can browse the whole collection without an account. Signing in is what lets Fragrance Box remember you: the scents you have saved, the boxes you have ordered, and the requests you have in progress. It takes a moment, and everything you do afterward stays tied to you and only you.

When you need to sign in

Most of the discovery experience is open. You can explore the full collection on the homepage, read any product page, and search notes and houses at search without an account.

Signing in is required the moment you want to do something that belongs to you rather than browse something that belongs to everyone. That includes:

  • Placing or managing a box order through the order wizard.
  • Submitting a fragrance you want to sell through sell.
  • Requesting our authentication service for a bottle you own.
  • Reserving a launch spot through pre-order.
  • Saving favorites and building the picks that fill your box.

If you start one of these while signed out, you will be asked to sign in first, then returned to where you left off.

How to sign in

Fragrance Box uses Google sign in. Choose Sign In from the navigation, or head straight to Google sign in, and confirm with the Google account you want to use. That single step both creates your account, if you are new, and signs you back in on later visits. There is no separate password to set or remember here, and no long registration form to fill out.

Because your account is tied to one Google identity, sign in with the same account each time so your orders, favorites, and requests all stay in one place. If you have more than one Google account, it is worth deciding early which one is your Fragrance Box account.

When you are finished on a shared or public device, sign out to keep your account private. Your dashboard is never shown to anyone else, and you can only ever see your own records, but signing out is the clean way to hand a device back.

What your account gives you

Once you are signed in, everything lives under your dashboard. Think of it as your private side of Fragrance Box, visible to you alone and never indexed publicly. From there you can:

  • Save favorites as you browse, so a scent you are considering is one click away when you are ready to decide.
  • Review your order history and open any single order for its details from your orders.
  • Track a box order as it moves through its stages, with tracking added to the order once it ships.
  • Follow a sell submission from your sell orders and an authentication request from your authentication requests, each with its own status.
  • Update your details from account settings.

Your favorites and picks are the quiet backbone of the experience. Favorites are simply the scents you want to remember. Picks are the fragrances you have chosen to fill a box, and a blacklist lets you name any you never want included. Together they let a box be curated around what you actually love, rather than guessed at.

A note on the box itself: because the collection rotates, a specific scent can become unavailable between choosing it and shipping. When that happens you are asked to choose a like for like replacement, and if you do not choose within a short window a comparable alternative in the same character is assigned so your box still ships complete. Fragrance Box substitutes a comparable bottle when it must, and never promises an exact one.

If something goes wrong

If sign in does not complete, start by confirming you are using the right Google account and that you finished the Google confirmation screen. Signing out and back in clears most momentary hiccups. If you land somewhere unexpected, opening your dashboard directly is the fastest way back to your account.

If you are still stuck, or you think orders or requests are attached to the wrong account, write to us at [email protected] and tell us what you were trying to do. We would rather sort it out with you than leave you guessing.

When you are ready, sign in and open your dashboard. From there, saving a first favorite from the collection is the easiest way to make the space your own.
