The wait between checkout and doorstep is the one part of ordering fragrance that asks for a little patience. The good news is that you are never left guessing. From the moment your box is confirmed, its whole journey lives in one place, and a tracking number appears there the instant your shipment is handed to a carrier.

Where to find your tracking

Everything about a placed order lives in your account, so the first step is simply to sign in and open your dashboard.

  1. Go to your account at /dashboard.
  2. Open your order history at /dashboard/orders.
  3. Select the order you want to follow to open its detail page.

Your order history lists every box you have placed, each with its confirmation number and current status. Opening a single order gives you the full picture: the curated fragrances inside, the shipping details you entered, and the tracking information once it exists. If you just finished checkout, your confirmed order also appears at /order/success with its confirmation number, and it will be waiting in your dashboard from that point on.

When the tracking number appears

A tracking number is not created the second you pay. It is added when your box is actually packed and passed to the carrier, so there is a natural gap between placing an order and seeing a number appear. Until then, your order sits in an earlier stage and the detail page will show its current status rather than a link to follow.

Once the number is added, your order page updates on its own. From there you can follow the shipment through the carrier as it moves toward you. The specific carrier and the delivery estimate depend on the shipping option chosen at checkout and your destination, and those vary, see the live options at /order. Reading the journey

An order moves through a sequence, and knowing roughly where yours sits tells you what to expect next. The exact status wording lives on the order page and in Order Status Explained, but the shape of the journey is simple.

  • Placed. Payment is confirmed and your box is queued for curation. No tracking yet.
  • Being prepared. Your fragrances are being gathered and packed. Still no number, and this is normal.
  • Shipped. The carrier has your box and a tracking number is now on the order page. This is the point where you can follow it in transit.
  • Delivered. The shipment has reached the address you provided.

If a fragrance in your box became unavailable while it was being prepared, you may be asked to confirm a comparable replacement before it ships. Fragrance Box never promises an exact bottle and never swaps one without your say, and you can read exactly how that works in How Substitutions Work.

If tracking has not moved

A tracking number that sits quiet for a short while after it first appears is usually just the carrier catching up to its own system rather than anything wrong with your box. Give it a little time and check the order page again, since it reflects the latest information we hold. If it stays still longer than you would expect, or a status looks stuck, we would rather hear from you than have you wonder.

  • Confirm you are viewing the right order in /dashboard/orders, especially if you have placed more than one.
  • Check that the shipping address on the order detail page is the one you intended.
  • Keep your confirmation number handy, since it is the fastest way for us to find your order.
