Shipping Estimates Before You Buy

Buying, Checkout and Orders 4 min read Updated July 14, 2026

You want to know when your box will arrive before you commit, and that is a reasonable thing to ask. A shipping estimate is our best read on how long delivery should take and what it will cost, based on where the box is going. It is worked out for your address, not a single number stamped on every order, so the surest way to see your own figure is to reach the shipping step at checkout on /order.

Where your estimate is shown

The delivery estimate lives at checkout, not in this guide. When you build a box and move through the flow at /order, the shipping step reads your destination and shows the options available to you, each with its own cost and its own expected window. You review that before you pay, never after.

We do not quote a shipping cost or a delivery time in evergreen help copy, because both genuinely vary and either could change. Any figure written here could be wrong for your address or out of date by the time you read it. The live checkout is the single source of truth, and it always shows the current number for your order. For a fuller look at the methods and what each one costs, see Shipping Options and Costs.

What shapes the estimate

An estimate is a calculation, not a promise engraved in stone, and a few things move it.

  • Your destination. Distance and region are the largest factors. The same box shipped to two different areas can carry a different cost and a different window, which is why the estimate is worked out for your address rather than shown as one flat figure.
  • The method you choose. Faster service generally costs more and quotes a shorter window. A standard option costs less and takes longer. You pick the balance that suits you at checkout.
  • Handling before it moves. Every box is curated and prepared before it ships, so the estimate reflects the time to ready your order as well as the time in transit.
  • Timing and carrier conditions. Weekends, holidays, and carrier delays sit outside our hands. An estimate is a considered expectation, and most orders track close to it, but transit is never fully guaranteed to the day.

Read the estimate as a well-founded expectation for planning, then confirm the exact figures on the live shipping step at /order.

After you order

Once you have paid, /order/success confirms your order and shows the shipping details we hold for it. From there you can follow the box as it moves. When a tracking number is added, it appears on your order, and you can watch its progress from /dashboard/orders. For how to do that, see Tracking Your Order, and to understand each stage from placed to shipped, see Order Status Explained.

One note if you are reserving rather than buying today. A pre-order is a reservation, not a charge, and reservations ship with the first launch batch. The exact shipping window for a pre-order is shared at launch rather than quoted in advance, and the live page at /pre-order carries the current terms.

The short version

Your shipping estimate is calculated for your area and shown to you at checkout, with the cost and the delivery window laid out before you pay. Nothing about it is hidden and nothing is quoted here that could go stale on you. When you are ready to see your own figure, head to /order and reach the shipping step, or write to us at [email protected] if the estimate for your address does not look right and we will take a closer look.
