Checkout and Payment
Every box you build ends at the same quiet moment: the checkout, where you confirm what you have chosen and pay. This guide walks through what happens at that final step, how your payment is handled, and what you see once the order is confirmed.
Where checkout happens
Checkout lives at the end of the box order wizard on the order page. You choose your concentration tier (EDP or Extrait), the audience rotation, the size, and whether you want a one time box or a monthly subscription. When those choices are set, you move to payment. If you are reserving a launch spot rather than buying now, that is a different flow. A pre-order is a reservation, not a charge, and you are not charged when you reserve. See How Pre-Orders Work for the details.
Prices, any exclusive surcharge on a fragrance, and shipping costs all vary and are shown live before you pay. We never quote those figures here, so read the real numbers on the order page as you check out. Shipping methods and their costs are covered in Shipping Options and Costs.
How payment is handled
Payment runs through Stripe, a trusted payment processor used across the web. When you reach the payment step, you enter your card details on the secure checkout and Stripe handles the charge. The sensitive part of the transaction stays with a dedicated processor rather than sitting with us, which is exactly where it should be.
A few things worth knowing before you confirm:
- Review your box contents, tier, plan, and totals on screen before you pay, since the live page is the source of truth for every amount.
- If you chose a monthly subscription, you are signing up for a recurring box rather than a single purchase. The plan you selected is shown at checkout.
- If a payment does not go through, nothing is charged and no order is created. You can adjust your details and try again.
After you pay
Once payment clears, you land on the order confirmation page. That page re-verifies your Stripe checkout session on our server rather than trusting the web address, so a confirmation you see is a confirmation that truly completed. You will find a confirmation number, the curated fragrances in your box, and your shipping details.
Keep your confirmation number. It is the reference for your order, and your full order history lives in your account. From your orders page you can open any order to see its detail, and once tracking is added you can follow the shipment from there. A note on substitutions
Fragrance is a rotating collection, so a specific scent can become unavailable between when you order and when your box is packed. When that happens we ask you to choose a like for like replacement, and if you do not choose within a short window we assign a comparable alternative in the same character so your box still ships full. We never promise an exact bottle, only a comparable one when it is needed. More on this in How Substitutions Work.
